Buzz Cola at Kwik-E-Mart
As part of the Simpson’s movie marketing extravaganza, some 7-11’s became Kwik-E-Marts over the weekend. I’m curious to know what the Buzz Cola really is, if it’s Pepsi or Coke or something specially formulated or what. Someone go research this for me, please.

Just bought a can and opened it up, shared it with a few friends of mine, consensus says it smells and tastes like RC cola, my roommate thought it tastes like Pepsi.

I just bought a can from my local 7-11. Tastes like cola that’s got a sort of cinnamon-y flavour to it. Doesn’t really taste like either Coke or Pepsi, though, not to me. It’s not too shabby, and, of course, the cool factor of drinking something from The Simpsons is through the roof.

RC sounds like our man, someone figured that out in the other thread.

I also drank a can of Buzz Cola and found myself asking what brand it is, but i think i have figured it out. If you look near the bar code there is a tiny crown printed on the can, the same crown logo RC Cola uses. Also RC cola is very high and sugar and so is the buzz cola, thats why it cant be coke or pepsi because it is to sweet. Well that is what i think.

There are only 12 different Kwik-E-Marts around the US. So, I’m not surprised that you couldn’t find it. You can get BUZZ on E-Bay. Here in Seattle we all think it is RC Cola. Austin’s crown by the barcode sounds about right. Happy drinkin’!

You can get “Buzz Cola” from any 7-11. I’m in Tucson, AZ and I’m not near any of the “Kwik-E-Marts but all of the 7-11’s had it. I too believe it just RC Cola.

I, too, bought some BUZZ COLA from the Seattle store and thought right away that it tasted similar to RC. I did a quick bit of research and found that it’s produced by Cott Beverages in Canada (http://www.cott.com/), the same company that now owns Royal Crown. From what I’ve gathered, Buzz Cola has more sugar and caffeine than most other popular colas. This Wikio search has leads to more articles: http://www.wikio.com/business/food_and_beverage/soft_drinks/cott/search=Buzz+Cola
Austin: Good job on finding that little RC crown on your Buzz can…I searched and searched even after you mentioned it and it took me a while to find it!!

I love RC cola, however it tasted a lot more like the Craigmont Cola that safeway used to carry.
