Slate on Sweet Tea
Slate on sweet tea. I think I’ve only had lame imitations and never the real thing. Or at least I hope they were lame imitations because they were NAST.

Proof that internet top 10 lists are such a bunch of crap: this one includes Tab Cola.
Cheerwine has suddenly come out of nowhere to take over the internet. They’ve got the very zeitgeist-y fake news website, a street team blog favoring pictures of Cheerwine-drinking teens in bikinis, and Youtube turns up a bunch of fan-made commercials. Sad times when a 90-year-old soda is making me feel old.
What’s your favorite little-known soda pop? Thread at Ask MeFi. Many of these are TOTALLY known if you read K4T. Doy.
Aquafina will soon feature the words “Public Water Source” on its labels. [Thx, Phyllis!]
I’ve been hearing rumors that Mountain Dew is going to start selling Baja Blast in 20 oz bottles. Like in actual stores, instead of just at Taco Bell. Article about an annoying guy trying to position another annoying coconut water beverage as miracle health elixir. K4T has already alerted the internet to how much we don’t like Zico, so this guy has no chance. [Thanks, Balg.]
K4T-ers– I am going to be in Virginia Beach, VA in a few weeks, so I was wondering if anyone from that area has some ideas about local beverage flava (stuff that I can’t get everywhere else) that I should try to soak up while I’m there? Y/n?
Budweiser and Clamato: La combinacion perfecta? Holy jumping jesus. These are the end times.
Great article in Fast Company about the history of bottled water, its environmental footprint, and how it compares to tap water. I always feel guilty when I buy bottled water, which is kind of weird. Shouldn’t I feel more guilty about buying soda? Morally complex times, up in here.
